AMANDA LANDRY

Co-founder (No longer active with Dream Weavers)
M.Sc. (OT), OT Reg. (Ont)

Amanda received her Master's degree in Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy from the University of Toronto in 2011, and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and English from Dalhousie University. She holds the status of Adjunct Lecturer at the University of Toronto; is in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario; and is a member of the Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists.

Amanda's background includes working with individuals from all walks of life with a variety of strengths and challenges. As a teen, Amanda began teaching groups of children and adolescents as a figure skating instructor. In 2010, she seized the opportunity to travel to Tanzania to experience a community-based paediatric clinic working in seating and mobility, and community support programs. Her passions include getting fun and creative to develop meaningful programming, teaching employment and life skills to teens and young adults with disabilities, and advocating for individuals with disabilities on a local and global scale.

Regardless of the specific work she is doing, Amanda loves the opportunity to get creative and learn from and with members and their families while supporting them in the achievement of their goals.

Along with Mira, Amanda co-founded Dream Weavers in 2012. Although she is no longer working with us, she remains an integral part of the Dream Weavers family - in energy and legacy!

Amanda is currently employed at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehab.
