This Privacy Policy describes how www.dreamweaverscollective.com and any or all additional subdomains (collectively, the “Site,” “”we,” “us,” “our“) collects, uses, discloses, and protects the personal information of our customers and website users (“you”) when you visit or make a purchase from our Site.

This policy applies to information we collect, use, or disclose about you on this Site, and in email or other electronic messages between you and this Site, including via social media platforms. By accessing this Site, you indicate that you understand, accept, and consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.


What Information We Collect About You

When you use this Site, we may collect certain information from and about you, including:

Statistical or aggregated data does not directly identify a specific person, but we may derive non-personal statistical or aggregated data from Personal Information. For example, we may aggregate personal information to calculate the percentage of users accessing a specific Site feature;

Our payment processing is provided by third-party service providers, Stripe Payments Canada, Ltd and PayPal Canada Co. Their collection, use, and disclosure of your Personal Information is governed in accordance with their own privacy policies, and not this Privacy Policy.


User Submissions and Social Media

You may provide information to be published or displayed on public areas of our Site or transmitted to other users of the Site or third parties (collectively, “User Submissions”). Your User Submissions are posted on and transmitted to others at your own risk. Personal Information that you post or share in connection with these User Submissions is visible to other persons and can be read, collected, used and disclosed by other persons. Additionally, we cannot control the actions of other users of the Site with whom you may choose to share your User Contributions. Therefore, we cannot and do not guarantee that unauthorized persons will not view your User Contributions.

If you upload images to the Site, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the Site can download and extract any location data from images on the Site.

When posting information to other social networking sites (e.g. posting a link to the Dream Weavers Collective Facebook or Instagram pages or groups, or “liking” a post on your Facebook or Instagram account), the Personal Information that you post or share in connection with these third-party sites is visible to other persons and can be read, collected, used and disclosed by other persons. Any information posted to a social networking site remains visible until such time that you delete it or we delete it. Any information provided to such third-party social networking sites and other sites is outside of our control and is not governed by this Privacy Policy.


How We Use Your Information

When you visit our Site, we collect certain information about you, your device, your interaction with the Site, and information necessary to process your purchases, in order to present our Site to you and provide you with the content, courses, products, services and information that you request from us.  For example, we use information about you, including any Personal Information, for the following purposes:

  1. Account Registration: We collect your name and email address when you register for an account on our Site. We collect this information in order to fulfil your order, provide you with access to our course offerings, save your course progress, process your payment information, provide you with invoices, and communicate with you. We also require your name and email address to register you for our Facebook group(s).

  2. Email Newsletters: You can sign up for a free email newsletter from us by voluntarily providing your email. Personal Information which is provided by you is used solely for this purpose, unless otherwise provided by you. You can unsubscribe for our email newsletters at any time.

  3. Comments and Other User Contributions: When visitors leave comments on the Site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

  4. Customer Support: We may also collect additional information about you if you contact us for customer support.

  5. Cookies: As you navigate through and interact with our Site, we may use cookies or other automatic data collection technologies to collect certain information about your equipment, browsing actions, and patterns. A cookie is a small file that is downloaded to your computer or device when you visit our Site. Cookies optimize your browsing experience on our Site by remembering your actions and preferences.

If you leave a comment on our Site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

Who We Share Your Data With

For instance, we use Stripe Payments Canada, Ltd and PayPal Canada Co. to process payments on our online store. We may disclose or transfer data about your search activity on this Site with Google Analytics. We may also disclose or transfer your email and name information with ConvertKit when signing up for any email list. Please refer to the privacy policies of the aforementioned service providers for more information.

We may process, store, and transfer your personal information in and to a foreign country, with different privacy laws that may or may not be as comprehensive as Canadian law. In these circumstances, the governments, courts, law enforcement, or regulatory agencies of that country may be able to obtain access to your personal information through the laws of the foreign country.

We may share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.


How Long We Retain Your Data

Except as otherwise permitted or required by applicable law or regulation, we will only retain your Personal Information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. Under some circumstances we may anonymize your Personal Information so that it can no longer be associated with you. We reserve the right to use such anonymous and de-identified data for any legitimate business purpose without further notice to you or your consent.

If you leave a comment on our Site, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

If you leave a submission in our Facebook group, the submission is visible to us and other Users for as long as our group remains active, or until we decide otherwise; alternatively, you may choose to delete your submission in the Facebook group prior to the expiration of your access.

For users that register on our Site, we also store the Personal Information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Site administrators can also see and edit that information.

We use appropriate security safeguards to protect your Personal Information against loss, theft, and unauthorized access.

If you are a registered user of our Site, any username, password, or any other piece of information chosen by you, or provided to you as part of our security procedures, must be treated as confidential, and you must not disclose it to any other person or entity. All information regarding payment is collected by Stripe Payments Canada, Ltd. and PayPal Canada Co. Please refer to Stripe’s and PayPal’s Privacy Policy for more information on how your Personal Information is safeguarded by these service providers.


What Rights You Have Over Your Data

It is important that the Personal Information we hold about you is accurate and current. Please keep us informed if your Personal Information changes. By law you have the right to request access to and to correct the Personal Information that we hold about you. If you want to access, review, verify, or correct the use of your Personal Information, you may send us an email at dreamweaverscollective@gmail.com. If you are a registered user of our Site, you can also review and change your personal information (with the exception of your Site username) at any time by logging into the Site and visiting your account profile page.

You can also request that we erase any Personal Information we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes to our Privacy Policy, we will notify you by email or through a notice on the Site home page.
